Vanessa Knox enters London’s fashion
scene with a bang with her newly launched label.
Catering to “busy women”
on the run between errands, work, dinner parties and play dates, the collection is made up of mostly
solid-coloured tops and bottoms with a palette of red, deep blues, beige, purple, grey, green and
more.
However, Knox is no
newcomer to the design world. Working as a head designer for Victoria’s
Secret and co-founder of Isabella
Oliver,
she has mastered the importance of cut and fit, and unique variation to each woman’s curves. The idea for
Isabella
Oliver came about when she was pregnant and found it incredibly difficult to find stylish
and well fitting maternity clothes.
“Classic, effortless,
modern, urban, luxury and minimal” are just some of the words that describe the essence of her brand,
according to her site.
Knox was born and raised
in New York City, where she attended the prestigious Parsons at The New School for
Design to study fashion design and fine art, where world famous designers such as Marc
Jacobs, Donna Karan and Tom Ford also kicked-off their careers.
With her new collection,
Knox aims to give women clothing that multitasks as well as they do. Due to their simplistic and versatile
nature, you’ll find her pieces to be the go-to items in your wardrobe when you’re in a rush or surprised by
an unexpected social event.
Add in the right balance
of accessories and you’re ready to start your day.
