Venturing out of the house to go to your local coffee shop for your fix of a fruit smoothie or an icy coffee
frappuccino is out of the question, especially on scorching hot days.
Below are recipes for you to make your own iced drink right in your own home. Before you know it, you’ll
master the art of the perfect frappuccino and the perfect smoothie so your trek to a coffeehouse won’t be
necessary anymore.
A Tasty Caffeine Fix
Caramel Coffee Frappuccino
Ingredients:
½ cup double-strength coffee, cold
3 tbs granulated sugar
½ cup milk
2 cups ice
3 tbs caramel sundae syrup
Whipped cream
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients into electric blender.
Blend drink on high speed until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.
Pour into 16-ounce glasses and serve with a straw.
Sweet as Candy
Fresh Strawberry Lemonade
Ingredients:
4 cups water
1 cup sugar
4 cups fresh strawberries
1 cup freshly-squeezed lemon juice (about 5-6 lemons)
2 cups club soda or ginger ale
Instructions:
1. Combine water, sugar, strawberries and lemon juice in a blender. Puree until smooth.
2. Pour strawberry lemonade into glasses, filling it two-thirds of the way. Pour ginger ale/club soda on top
of strawberry lemonade
It’s Berry Delicious
Iced Mixed Berry Smoothie
Ingredients:
¾ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbs granulated sugar
1 cup frozen berries or 2 tbs strawberry flavoured syrup
1 cup crushed ice
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients into electric blender.
2. Blend drink on high speed until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.
3. Pour into 16-ounce glasses and serve with a straw.
Cocktail Hour
Bellini Cocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz peach nectar
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 oz peach schnapps
3 oz chilled, dry champagne
½ cup crushed ice
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients into electric blender.
2. Blend drink on high speed until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.
3. Pour into martini glasses and serve with a straw.•
